About this game
The lexical race has begun and only the fastest will reach victory with Build-a-Sentence. This is a clever and entertaining card game where observation, vocabulary mastery and the speed to build grammatical combinations are vital to scoring points.
Each player is dealt 5 cards. Each card has words on both edges, so you can rotate them and choose which word suits you best to build a coherent sentence. Everyone plays simultaneously trying to chain their words; the first to complete a full, meaningful sentence shouts “Done!” claiming a bonus point for their speed. When the second player finishes their sentence and shouts “Done!” too, the round immediately ends for everyone.
But the fun doesn’t stop there: at the end of the round everyone reads aloud the curious, crazy and ridiculous sentences they managed to build with the words they were dealt. It’s an ideal pastime for practicing reading with children, and an excellent quick game to entertain the whole family during a road trip or a weekend afternoon.
